Frequently asked questions
What is the process to join the design bootcamp?
The process includes registration through our official page, a short interview, and a selection announcement. Selected participants will join a 4–6 week program with industry experts focusing on product design creation, prototyping, and market knowledge.
Is prior design experience required to participate?
Nope! Our program is currently open to students from any semesters. As long as you’re passionate and ready to explore product design, you’re welcome. In the future, we would like to open this opportunity to public, so makers and creative individuals can join.
What kind of products will we make in the bootcamp?
Participants will create wood-based functional or decorative items—like stools, organizers, display racks, or experimental prototypes—using sustainable materials and tools available in the makerspace.
Can I use the makerspace outside of the program?
Currently, we are working together with the City Government of Surakarta to use its makerspace with rental schemes. So, it is best to participate in the bootcamp of university-partnership programs to get the access through the Daya Rupa Foundation.
Will there be a certificate or portfolio output?
Absolutely. All participants will receive an official certificate and digital portfolio showcasing their process and final product—great for career, grants, or showcasing your work.
Where is the Daya Rupa Foundation's activities mostly conducted?
